Booking. Private-suite studios run on reservation systems — book ahead, especially evenings and weekends. Walk-in options exist (Climate Change takes community sessions; some studios take day passes).
What to bring.Swimwear for shared plunge pools and bathhouses (non-negotiable); private suites are more relaxed but swimwear is still the norm. Flip-flops for shared areas; studios typically supply towels.
First plunge. Ease in rather than jumping straight to your limit — most people start with 30–60 seconds. Breathe slowly and steadily, and get out if you feel dizzy or numb beyond comfort. If you're pregnant, have a heart condition, or react badly to cold, check with a clinician first.
Temperatures. Only a few Dallas venues publish tub temps (32–55°F at Sauna House, 40°F at Russian Banya). Elsewhere, “cold plunge” can mean anything from genuinely icy to brisk — ask before you book if the number matters to you.
